If you try to target high competition keyword and your blog is new with not much population and other rankings then you may fail in targeting that keyword. Because many other popular sites may also be working at those keywords. Yeah! If your blog is much popular and have good Page Rank, Alexa Ranking, Backlinks, Domain Authority and many other ranks then you can target those high keywords otherwise going for medium or low competition keyword is better.
