| LG G3 to feature 2k resolution display, 16MP camera and octa core chipset Posted: 25 Dec 2013 11:22 PM PST About to buy yourself a new flagship device? You'd be well advised to wait a bit as it looks like the next generation is going to be another quantum leap in terms of specifications. If rumors are to be believed then LG has big plans for the successor to the G2. The LG G3 will have a 2K resolution display. Also known as Quad HD, the resolution corresponds to 1,440 x 2,560 pixels and should give the rumored 5.5 inch panel an incredible pixel density. The report also mentions that the camera module will be upped to 16MP and the phone will be powered by a next gen Octa Core processor. While the G2 struggled with sales, LG did manage to create a very interesting product that had more hits than misses. While the awkwardly placed rear buttons might not be your cup of tea, the beautiful edge to edge display and camera quality set the benchmark high. If LG can improve on the G2 and deliver an even better product with the G3, we think they might actually have a chance. The phone is expected to be unveiled in the second half of 2014.
