| How to download and install Windows 8.1 Final Version For Free Now! Posted: 15 Dec 2013 08:31 AM PST  How to download Windows 8.1 for freeWindows 8.1 has been released. If you're using Windows 8, upgrading to Windows 8.1 is both easy and free. If you're using another operating system (Windows 7, Windows XP, OS X), you can either buy a boxed version ($120 for normal, $200 for Windows 8.1 Pro), or opt for one of the free methods listed below. To download and install Windows 8.1 for free, follow the guide below.  If you don't want to wait for October 17 or 18, there are two options for downloading Windows 8.1: You can obtain a copy (and a license key) from a friend/colleague with an MSDN, TechNet, or DreamSpark (student) subscription, or you can download a Windows 8.1 RTM ISO from your favorite file-sharing website (The Pirate Bay, Mega, etc.) While we're not going to write a guide on how to obtain Windows 8.1 RTM from non-official sources, we will at least tell you to check the SHA-1 hash of the ISO that you download to make sure that it's legitimate. If you hit up the MSDN Subscriber Downloads page, and then click Details under the version that you've obtained from elsewhere, you'll find the SHA-1 hash. If you then use File Checksum Integrity Verifier (FCIV) on the ISO, the hash should match. If it doesn't, assume the ISO has been compromised and download another. (But do make sure that you're checking the right SHA-1 hash on the MSDN website; your ISO might be mislabeled). The other easier, and completely legal, option is to download the Windows 8.1 Preview from Microsoft. It's not as snappy as the final (RTM/GA) build, though, and has quite a few bugs/missing features. Bear in mind that if you go down this road, upgrading to a real version of Windows 8.1 will require a few more steps (discussed in the next section). How to install Windows 8.1 for freeOnce you have the Windows 8.1 ISO on your hard drive, the installation process is painless. Before you begin, you should consider backing up your important files and documents, but it's not really necessary. You should also ensure that you have plenty of free hard drive space (20GB+).  If you're already running Windows 8 and you downloaded the RTM ISO from somewhere other than the Windows Store, you can install Windows 8.1 by mounting the downloaded ISO in Explorer by double-clicking it, and then running the installer. If you're on Windows 7, XP, or (bless your soul) Vista, you'll need to burn the ISO to a USB thumb drive or DVD, or mount the ISO using a third-party virtual drive tool, like Magic ISO. If you already have Windows 8, and you waited for the official release date, installing Windows 8.1 is as simple as visiting the Windows Store and downloading the free update. In both these cases, the upgrade process should be very smooth, with your apps and settings fully preserved. If you upgrade from Windows 8.1 Preview, however, you will lose your installed apps, unless you first run a cversion.ini removal utility. Teringat masa kecil bersama sahabat-sahabat kecil dulu, dimana hujan adalah alarm untuk bersuka cita dan bergembira. Sebutlah hujan-hujanan, dimana kita esoknya demam menggigil, dimarahi orang tua, dan tidak masuk sekolah karena flu. Cuma obat dan teh hangat teman setelah kejadian itu. Tak ada rasa menyesal. Malah rasa ingin mengulanginya semakin membesar. Iya, tawa lepas sore itu.  Mungkin, masa kecilku seperti foto diatas. Dimana tak mungkin waktu itu aku mem-foto kejadian ketika hujan-hujanan, waktu itu. Mengingat, dulu, aku lebih sering menghabiskan waktu di dunia nyata, daripada dunia maya. Atau mungkin, waktu itu memang belum ada dunia maya? Entahlah… Waktu itu aku tak peduli dunia maya.  Dan dimana, hujan sudah reda, kita kembali ke rumah dengan rasa was-was, mama pasti sudah menunggu di depan pintu rumah.  "Gak ada masa yang lebih keren, daripada masa kecil; masa tanpa kemunafikan". Yoaaaaaa! Sebut saja kami: Pasukan pantang pulang sebelum maghrib. Entah, tradisi atau semacam kebiasaan, adzhan maghrib adalah bel kembali ke rumah, tak kenal apa agamamu, tak kenal apa warna kulitmu, tak kenal dari mana asalmu. FPI members may not have a childhood. Maybe. Aku rindu masa-masa kecil dulu. Masa-masa yang telah lama aku tinggalkan. Masa kecil yang penuh kenangan, menyenangkan, karena yang menyakitkan tak pernah mau ku kenang, atau memang sebenarnya tak ada yang menyakitkan. Bertempat tinggal di desa, membuatku, mempunyai banyak sekali teman sepermainan waktu itu. Tentunya, teman tanpa rekayasa, gak seperti jaman sekarang, kebanyakan teman udah kayak sinetron, penuh rekayasa. 12:00 WIB. Bel pulang sekolah berbunyi. Berarti. It's time to rock!! "Maem dulu baru maen," kata Mama, waktu itu. "Ya maaaaaaaaaaaa," jawabku, sambil mengambil nasi ke piring, sengaja kutuangkan sedikit, agar dikiranya itu adalah sisa makanan yang baru aku makan. Males makan. Kehilangan semenit aja jam main itu kalo jaman sekarang kayak udah kek seharian gak buka Twitter. Tanpa sebuah komunikasi lewat handphone apalagi dunia maya, kita berkumpul dengan lengkap. Aneh. Tapi ini pernah kita alami. Tanpa handphone kita tetap manusia paling bahagia. Tempat bermain kita gak netep, kita punya banyak lahan untuk bermain. Bermain bola tanpa garis batas itu hal biasa yang kita lakukan, mengingat berhektar-hektar lahan kosong, di desa kita. Sedih, rasanya, sekarang tempat tanpa kemunafikan itu sekarang sudah berbentuk beton. Ketika uang bisa membeli alam. Remaja sekarang lebih memilih merasa hijau karena uang bukan karena Alam. Padahal alam menyajikan apa yang gak bisa dibeli dengan uang. Bermain di Lapangan  Hampir tiap hari, aku bermain dengan teman-teman kampungku. Mereka ada banyak sekali. Kadang mereka membuatku tertawa, kadang menangis. Tapi semuanya bagiku indah, semua yang aku lakukan bersama teman-teman kampungku. Tak ada sedikit pun rasa dendam waktu itu. Kami disini biasa bermain: Betengan  Lebih seru daripada Photobox. Apa hubungannya ane juga gak tau. Gobak Sodor  Untuk memainkan permainan ini. Ente harus gesit! Petak Umpet  Sebut saja si kucing penjaganya. Dan para kampret adalah yang ngumpet. Kasti  Sejatinya, permainan kasti adalah memukul bola yang dilempar lawan sejauh-jauhnya, tapi yang kami lakukan adalah melempar pemukul sejauh-jauhnya. Bermain di Sawah .jpg) kami juga suka menyatu dengan alam, dengan tumbuh-tumbuhan dan hewan. Meski siang-siang, terik matahari, panas, kami tak peduli. Kami adalah sahabat matahari, tak ada yang perlu di takuti. Lahan sawah yang habis di panen, serta habis diguyur air hujan juga tempat favorit kita untuk bermain. Membentuk semacam danau. Yakali danau. Tepatnya, semacam got berukuran besar. Pulang dengan gatal-gatal, dan baju putih yang memudar. Dan sebuah omelan. Hal itu sangat menyenangkan Masak-Masakan  Dengan bumbu pisang dan daun-daun tanaman. Berlagak kek Chef Juna, padahal kek tukang pecel lele. Anak-anak mengosrang-ngosreng masakan, diatas wajan tanah liat. Epic. Nyari ikan di kali  Bagi ane, mancing mania mah, gak ada kerennya. Mereka Cuma mancing, terus dapet ikan gede, terus dikembaliin. Kita! Nyebur kali, terjun langsung ke lapangan (makanya kita-kita cocok jadi pejabat, uhuk.), tanpa mengenal gatal, tanpa mengenal campur air kencing orang, sampe 'pup' pun kita terjang. Masa kecil tak terlupakan. Ane malah kasian sama anak kecil jaman sekarang, yang masih kecil, tapi udah di kasih gadget, gak ada kerennya sama sekali. Mereka berhak berkeringat, mereka berhak berteman dengan alam, mereka berhak tertawa bersama di tanah lapang bersama burung-burung perkutut. Semua permainan mereka udah tersedia di gadget, tinggal nunggu waktu aja, apakah permainan petak umpet, permainan-nya juga ngikut ngumpet? Jaman udah berubah, kasian anak kecil jaman sekarang yang banyak makan lagu cinta, bukannya makan kasih sayang. Kemaren, ngeliat ada anak kecil di TV yang sangat histeris sampai nangis karena pengin ketemu Coboy Junior? Aneh, hal yang tidak pernah ane alami waktu kecil dulu dan gak akan pernah mau. Masa kecil ane dulu di obok-obok, bukan di eaaa-eaaaa. Dan akhirnya, tulisan ini hanyalah sebuah nostalgia, dimana gak mungkin kita balik ke masa lalu, kecuali reinkarnasi. Masa kecil memang menyenangkan, tetapi.. masa depan harus jauh lebih menyenangkan. Hidup cuma sekali. Sekali aja. Kalo mau tambah, ke rental PS aja |
